Hong Kong's limited space leads to a shortage of private meeting areas in schools and offices. Traditional partitions, though effective, are costly, require modifications to lighting, safety, and ventilation, and are time-consuming, dusty, and may force staff evacuation.
Modular design offers a better solution by using off-site manufactured components assembled quickly—like a wardrobe—within a day. These units include soundproofing and air systems, allowing flexible, adjustable arrangements that can be modified or moved, reducing waste and increasing adaptability.

Modular Housing (MiC) has been on the rise in recent years, and various media have also widely reported on how this new technology is widely used in new buildings in Hong Kong to shorten construction time. MiCube adopts a flexible modular system design based on the MiC concept, with the characteristics of quick installation and disassembly, just as simple as assembling furniture. Schools can easily and flexibly create practical spaces to meet various needs without applying to the Education Bureau and the Buildings Department, saving time and trouble.

Ensures fresh air circulation
The MiCube Room utilises a building-independent ventilation system that intakes fresh air through ceiling vents. Stale air is extracted from beneath the technical panel and expelled into the ambient environment via fans positioned above the system wall.
Incorporating large, sound-insulated ducts, the system guarantees effective ventilation while minimising noise levels. This configuration eliminates disruptive noise and perceptible airflow, thereby establishing a quiet and comfortable indoor environment.
